Martinez: Gravel Spill Shuts Downs Lanes on Westbound Highway 4
The California Highway Patrol have shut down several lanes of westbound Highway 4 at McEwen Road after a gravel spill occurred around 4:46 am Monday.
According to CHP, by 4:53 am, they reported all lanes were blocked and a SIGALERT was issued as debris were in the roadway. By 5:15 am, the No. 1 lane was reopened.
By 6:39 am, a CALTRANS sweeper that was on scene broke and a new one was requested.
